One look at the stakes ranges for the ring games should give you your answer. While the low stakes starting at $.10/$.25 are doable on most budgets, the high stakes of $10/$20 are pretty rare and are more often replaced by $2/$4 tables. At the best of times, 7 Card Stud and 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo tables combine to offer 20-30 ring games in peak hours, but even with an international player base they can’t seem to keep the tables full during off hours.
High rolling 7 Card Stud players should be a little more satisfied with the tournament offerings. Full Tilt offers both sit-n-gos and multi-table events with starting entries of as little as $2. To appease the high stakes players, they also offer major money tournaments with entries in the $100-$200 range. These tournaments offer serious stud players some of the best regular profit potential online. You’ll find some form of 7 Card Stud tournament being hosted daily at Full Tilt, so if the ring games don’t satisfy you don’t be too quick to leave the site.

We love the Full Tilt Poker software package. We love it playing Hold ‘em, we love it playing 7 Card Stud, and we love it during major tournament events. There’s nothing this software can’t do, and if Full Tilt ever overtakes PokerStars for the number one poker room spot, we have no doubt that their software could support those numbers. With hundreds of different games running at once and thousands of players competing, watching, chatting, and just plain trolling the site it’s nothing short of impressive that Full Tilt’s gameplay is as smooth as it is. Furthermore, their player interface both looks and feels good. It’s clear that real players had input when they designed the tables, games, and lobby for this site.

Speaking of the site, Full Tilt Poker’s actual website is just as satisfying as its software. While the design scheme is undeniably manly with its minimalistic layout and aggressive color scheme, it makes the site blissfully easy to navigate. And FINALLY a site that offers drop down menus on its home page! Players of every level are sure to learn something new thanks to Full Tilt’s abundant information sharing and their exceptional Full Tilt Poker Academy. If we’re not 100% pleased with the actual 7 Card Stud offerings, then at least we’re impressed by the way Full Tilt presents every other aspect of its site.

As mentioned previously, we’re not overwhelmed by Full Tilt’s somewhat limited 7 Card Stud and 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo ring game offerings. They could certainly go higher, and maybe even a little lower. This lack of range means the playing level is pretty set, regardless of the tables you prefer. It’s not uncommon to see a bona fide pro hitting the stud tables, but you won’t come up against them very often (again likely because of the somewhat limited profit potential). Because Full Tilt balances its mediocre ring games with some truly excellent stud tournament offerings, you can still find some decent 7 Card Stud action on this site. Be prepared for stiffer competition in the big money tournaments.

Their ever-present pro-saturated marketing campaign is one clear sign that Full Tilt is still hunting for new players. Another indication that they’re player-hungry is that despite being one of the biggest and best poker rooms on the web they still offer unconventionally generous promotions and bonuses. Most notably, Full Tilt offers an unparalleled new player bonus of 100% on first deposits of up to $600. While some poker rooms make it hard to actually earn your bonus, Full Tilt awards it in parts, ensuring that even casual players will get their money’s worth with their first bonus. This bonus is beefed up with the usual tournament promotions, a decent player points program, and a few cool events that are totally unique to Full Tilt.
